Ministries

Jesus commanded His disciples, saying, “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you” (Matthew 28:19-20).  Therefore, we believe every church is called to “go” out into the community and serve.  Our ministries are never intended to be self-serving, but always focused on the needs of the people of our community.  Some of our ministries center around annual events and others operate all year long.

Some of our annual ministries include Vacation Bible School, Serve Our Schools (SOS), Live Nativity, Angel Tree & The Community Garden.  We also usually conduct a number of collection drives each year.

Another of our ongoing ministries is the Benevolence program to provide fuel and other forms of assistance to those in need.  We host a United Methodist Healthcare Ministry Wesley Nurse who helps serve our community.  We also encourage all our members through our “Helping Hands” ministry to serve regularly beyond the church as community volunteers.

Our United Methodist Men’s and United Women In Faith groups are also actively involved in mission and community outreach, conducting collection drives, ministry fundraiser events, and working directly with others in the community to make a difference for those in need.
