First United Methodist Church of La Feria – Loving God & Loving Others Since 1914
We are an old church with a long history of service in our community. We are not a group that claims to have all the answers, but we do know the source of our forgiveness and hope. We continue to honor our rich faith traditions, while keeping pace with the changing world offering a state-of-the art worship experience.
We serve a living Lord, who instructs us saying, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul and with all your mind” and “You shall love your neighbor as yourself” (Matthew 22:37, 39). Therefore, we are focused on the worship of God and ministering to His children. We don’t limit our definition of God’s children to a privileged few, but attempt to minister to all in need within and beyond our community. And we take to heart Jesus’ command: “Do not judge lest you be judged” (Matthew 7:1), recognizing that “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23), including us. Therefore, know that you are a precious child of God, loved and welcome to worship, study and serve the living God with us.
